Extra Info:
S, crispata v. crispata has a huge area of occurrence in the south-eastern part of the  Sulcorebutia distribution. It usually grows between 2200 and 2800 m. There are many different climates, regional distinctions and accordingly the range of variability within the different population of this taxon immense. Due to the easy accessibility of this area many of these places have been visited by countless cactus collectors. Because of the ease of propagation S. crispata is probably the most common Sulcorebutia in many collections.
