Near the type-location there is a small town called Cruz Khasa. Sulcorebutia lada-horacekii is a second description out of the same group of Sulcorebutias. The habitat of the two poulations are about 10 km apart and there is no significant difference in appereance. The mentioned location of S. lada-horacekii is in no way geographically isolated.
