Extra Info:
This Sulcorebutia occurs sporadically throughout the mentioned area. It often grows near or together with S. frankiana. At the type-location it shows red flowers while elsewhere magenta flower are predominant. There were always discussions about a close relationship or even identity of S. alba and S. fischeriana and/or S. chatajillensis. To my experience very often Sulcorebutias similar to S. alba are found among other forms of S. vasqueziana.
