Extra Info:
This species was subject to many confusions. Several field-numbers have been attributed to this name, but none can be considered to be identical with the plant, Cárdenas described. There is no such Sulcorebutia known from the vicinity of Mizque. In fact, no Sulcorebutia at all has been found there (2000 m). Therefore I consider this species as unknown. It should be stated that Reb. vizcarrae was named in honour of Euphronio Vizcarrae, citizen of Mizque, and not after Villa Viscarra.
