Distribution:
The typical form is mainly known from the northern and eastern slopes of Co. Cantar Gallo, but it can also be found among different other forms in the vicinity.

The relativly uniform, typical S. cantargalloensis is only found on the ridges and slopes of Co. Cantar Gallo. At all the other sites it usually grows together with S. cantargalloensis var. torrepampensis formig numerous variable intermediates.
